gimp-dcraw software package provides GIMP plug-in for loading RAW digital photos, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gimp-dcraw
gimp-dcraw is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gimp-dcraw package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gimp-dcraw *
You will get with gimp-dcraw package name, version, architecture and description in a table
